It is my true pleasure to submit to the Visiting Team of the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC), the Accreditation Self Study Report.
This report is the product of the joint and concerted effort of the Self Study Team at Imperial International School. While the greatest onus of preparing this report was taken by the internal team, collaboration and involvement of all stakeholders were systematically solicited. Also, a number of renowned professional educational consultants contributed their valuable insights into the whole process.
Since the last visit of NWAC in June 2010, the Self Study Team embarked in an intensive endeavor with the slogan “Looking Backward – Moving Forward”. The major objective of this effort was to come up with a clearer picture of who we are, what we want, what we do, and where we are going. The team relied on multiple data resources so that the analysis would be as accurate as possible. The data gathered included students results, teachers’ assessments, parents’ surveys and Best Practices and Benchmarking tools provided by external consultants.
The output of these analyses is included in the report. Further, the output has been used as a decision-making tool and served as a foundation for the long term improvement plans. During the planning phase, the Self Study Team adopted a holistic approach to integrate both the boys and girls sections of the school. It also focused on materializing the high academic achievements for all students.
Finally, in our quest to diversity the quality perspective, the school sought affiliation to Western Association of Schools & Colleges (WASC) in September 2012. The Initial Visit was conducted in December 2012 and the school was granted Initial Accreditation which is valid through June 2016.
With a strong belief that “success is a journey, not a destination” each team member at Imperial International School “family” is eager to make it an enjoyable and rewarding voyage.
